Terms of Use
Last updated: September 14, 2026
These terms govern the use of the Kandaz Driving School website and the student and instructor portals. Commercial conditions such as the training fee, number of lessons and refund rules are set in the enrolment agreement signed at registration; this text does not replace that agreement.
1. Portal account
Your portal account is created by the school with the email address you gave at enrolment. You set your own password through the single-use setup link sent to you; the school never sees your password.
The account is personal. Do not share your password; you are responsible for actions taken with your account. If you forget your password, use 'Forgot password' on the sign-in page.
Your session ends automatically after at most five days. The school may disable your account when the training relationship ends or for security reasons.
2. What you can do in the portal
View your lesson schedule, completed lessons and instructor evaluations; follow your topic progress, exam dates and results.
Request a lesson. The school accepts or rejects requests based on instructor and vehicle availability; you may have only one pending request at a time and can cancel it while it is pending.
Upload your enrolment documents. An uploaded document stays 'pending' until the school verifies it; you can delete a pending document, while verified documents can only be changed by the school. If a document is rejected you are told why.
View your payment plan and instalments and upload the proof after making a bank transfer. An instalment counts as paid once the school approves the proof.
Access the booklets and video resources shared by the school, and read announcements and the notifications sent to you.
3. Lessons
Lessons are scheduled by the school. You cannot cancel or reschedule a planned lesson from the portal; call the school for changes. Cancellations and rescheduling are recorded by the school.
A lesson you miss without notice is marked as a no-show and, like a completed lesson, is deducted from your lesson rights.
At the end of each lesson the instructor records your attendance and progress; this record is used to assess your readiness for the exam.
4. Payments
The training fee is paid according to the instalment plan in your enrolment agreement. Instalment amounts and due dates are shown in the portal.
Payments are made by bank transfer to the school's IBAN shown in the portal; the system does not take card details or collect payments online. A transfer without an uploaded proof, or whose proof the school has not approved, does not count as paid.
Your driving exam is not scheduled while you have an overdue instalment.
5. Learner licence and exams
The learner licence issued when you pass the theory exam is valid for one year. An expired licence requires a new application; the portal shows how long your licence has left.
The driving exam can be scheduled no earlier than ten days after the learner licence is issued and only while you have no overdue instalment. Exam dates follow the authorities' calendar, are set by the school and communicated to you.
Issuing the driving licence is the authority's decision; the school is responsible for training and the application process and does not guarantee the exam result.
6. Documents and accurate information
The information and documents you provide for enrolment and applications must be accurate, current and your own. False or forged documents lead to cancellation of the enrolment and may be reported to the authorities.
Documents must be PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP files of at most 10 MB.
7. Acceptable use
Using someone else's account, attempting unauthorised access, copying or distributing resources without the school's permission, and using the service in a way that disrupts it are prohibited.
Booklets and videos in the Resources section are for personal training use only.
8. Liability
The portal is a tool to help you follow your training; it does not replace official records and documents. The system may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons.
The school takes reasonable care to keep the information shown in the portal up to date; if you notice a discrepancy you are expected to inform the school.
9. Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated when necessary; the current version is published on this page. These terms are governed by the law of the TRNC.
